Using the original Overseer DVD on TV DVD players

I purchased Overseer back when in came out in the 90's, which came with a DVD ROM also, that I couldn't get to work with my computer's DVD-ROM drive at the time. I had it stored for years, and just recently pulled it back out, and tried the DVD on my DVD player for my TV. All I got was this "DATA" folder shown on my screen in a window. I clicked on it, and I got two video listings: "ACCELOGO" and "TUTORIAL". The first showed the Access Software logo and a brief game tutorial titled "Getting Around In The Virtual World", and the latter just the game tutorial again. Is that all this disk can do on regular TV DVD players? Want to be sure. Was mostly wondering if it's possible to play the game on TV DVD players, or would it not be able to work right?

Definitely wont be able to play anything more than the video files on the DVD player. I explained more in detail at the BFG forum:

the dvd needs one of the listed decoders to work so this would be one of the reasons why it couldn't work as dvd express is software.

you can copy the data files from the dvd & just change the extension to ".vod" & burn a dvd & you should be able to watch them on your dvd player .
