New blog out

no we don't want real hard puzzels & as we want new players & we don't want them to go away due to it being too hard.

Yes, we don't want people to get so frustrated that they quit like the review I once read by someone who stopped playing Pandora because he kept dying in the Roswell scavenger hunt portion.

This is why the different game modes should have different Puzzles... I rather enjoy a hard game... I don't want something that I can play through in just a few hours... I like things to take me a while... Even if I do spend a week on just one puzzle...

You're all just rusty from the lack of new puzzles the last one and a half decade. I'm sure you'll all get back into the swing of things quick enough once the new game is out.

And bring on the insanely nut-bustingly difficult puzzles! I'm rarin' to go!

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!

Ahh, probably my personal favorite. So much fun to run around Tex's brain and find all the dead ends. Err, wait, I didn't mean that the way it sounded.

I didn't mind that.

Actually, the only puzzles I hated in the old games were the illogical ones. Where like finding a shoe would make a scrap of paper suddenly appear in a warehouse somewhere else for no explainable reason. You have to constantly re-explore old areas in case a new piece of mail showed up or something. Overseer was horrible about this.
I agree, illogical puzzles are deal-breakers for me. If I encounter one in a game, it's OK as long as it doesn't take up too much time. But if the game is full of them (like 'Runaway - A road Adventure') then I pretty much just quit the game and uninstall it. Life's too short to spend hours on illogical conundrums... I get enough of those dealing with people at work!

Quite agreed. Way I see it, a puzzle is like any form of arts, an entry into someone's mind. Albeit in this case, more so the reasoning part of their imaginative mind.

Out of context, the puzzle is rather difficult. Put it in a game, surrounded by other puzzles bearing similar reasoning and a certain logic, even if random, and it becomes a lot easier to solve. Pattern recognition is all t'is, really.

Okay it's all done now. Bjyman figured it out first.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I agree! Put the efforts to a completely satisfying kick ass story and lay off the nut-busting puzzles.

Nut-busting indeed or for the gal equivalent vagina-ripping.

I agree with Plumgas, Sam. I mean, why compare this puzzle's difficulty to female circumcision?
