Which To Play First?
So I took advantage of the weekend special GOG has going on and bought 6 games for $35:
-- Machinarium
-- Botanicula
-- Resonance
-- The Whispered World
-- The Blackwell Bundle
-- Gemini Rue
Any recommendations on which I should play first? And why? (the shortest? the best? the worst?) Do you even like these games?

Never too late for coffee, never too early for beer.
I just read through the descriptions and watched some of the trailers. The look and feel of them didn't appeal to me. I was particularly disappointed by the Wadjet games. The cover art looks appealing, but the actual game graphics are like some old side-scroller (think really old non-3D Duke Nukem). I always hated those games. Here we have great graphics and CPU capabilities today, and these guys generate some old-fashioned style games... no thanks.
I love these "old fashioned" games
Gemini Rue was made by one guy! And it's awesome! Absolutely recommend playing it.
I've only really played Gemini Rue out of these but I picked up The Blackwell Bundle, Resonance and Machinarium in the sale. I'm an hour or so into Blackwell Ep 1 and I'm enjoying it so far. Its only just getting started so I can't say much more!

I haven't played Machinairum or Botanicula yet, but I do have them and have enjoyed Amanita Design's other games (Samorost etc.). Just haven't gotten around to playing their other games yet but I do reccomend them as they make quite creative and visually interesting games.
I've watched a playthrough of Gemini Rue, story seems interesting and nice style. I watched a short playthrough and interview with the creators of Resonance, the style looks nice (I like 2D art), but don't know a lot about it.
Not heard of Blackwell Bundle and only seen art for Whispered World but looks nice.

Machinarium is the most essential of those. It's genuinely brilliant, the best adventure game of the last 5 years for sure. I'd start there.
After that, I'd probably go with Resonance and Gemini Rue in either order.
Whispered World is a bit of a bimbo. Beautiful to look like, but not much going on inside.
Botanicula was disappointing to me.
