Questions for the chat with Chris, Aaron and Adrian here
a question to adrian: as a fan of cinematography and interesting camerawork, i would like to see more movement in new cutscenes. i know it`s a bit tricky with green screen, but we`ve got "avatar" and "matrix" (but not their budgets, of course). can we expect some steadicam-style shooting or it will be the same more traditional, old-school, still footage with minor zoom where necessary?
p.s.: there was several scenes with handheld camera in overseer, and i liked them. but that was filmed on location

From the RetroNick & Adventure-Treff interviews:Joel wrote:3) Is Project Fedora a stepping stone to further TM adventures or is this a farewell game?
Will Tex hang up his hat after "Project Fedora" or like jello is there room for more?
There's always room for more. We would love to later continue and make more than one additional Tex Murphy game in the series. Though we certainly will not end "Project Fedora" as another cliffhanger! It will come to a satisfactory conclusion but it'd be nice to at least leave the door open for further adventures if everything goes right. Down the road, if people are interested in the character moving forward, we could also consider doing episodic Tex Murphy adventures. Right now, the plan is to do a traditional, full Tex Murphy game.
(Ruri_Ayanami from the old Tex Murphy ezboard).

- How much cajoling was necessary to get DV to wear that wedding dress?
How many attempts were required for Aaron to perfect his spit-take?
Will the new Radio Theatre episodes continue from where the first batch finished?
What happened to the Steakhouse Stakeout mini-game idea?
How about getting Randall Edwards to do one of the last video updates in character as Louie?
What will big finish do after project fedora is released? will you develop future games and keep this a viable studio for years to come? and if so how important will profits (not including kickstarter contributions as that is capital and will be consumed in the development process) be on the future viability of Big Finish as a business?
Will we see a return of the optional "darker/badguy" Tex that we saw in Pandora?
Further more will we see a return of the funny Tex from UAKM?
How is money incorporated into this game this time? (and if its not in the game I am disappoint!)
Given that post-UAKM Access became a self-published developer, do you guys believe that becoming a self publish studio is better than dealing with a publisher? Is there a reason why Access went down this path?
Have you considered other options for funding after kickstarter such as Desura and Gamers Gate? (these also support crowdsoruce/community funded titles)
Will you guys take up EA on their Origin deal? (I hope not.. We want to keep the bastard publishers out of this!)
What price is Project Fedora likely to retail at?

Here are my questions...
Why was 31 days for the Kickstarter duration chosen instead of 45 to 60 days?
Will Fedora have Days for each chapter, like in Under a Killing Moon? How many chapters might Fedora have? Will the length of Fedora be about as long as Under a Killing Moon? Are you deciding to do a 5 hour game with 5 paths instead of a 25 hour game with no paths? (I would prefer a longer game with fewer paths).
Will the humor style be similar to The Pandora Directive, or one of the other games?
If the story supports it, have you thought about having a small segment of gameplay in Fedora where the player plays as a character other than Tex? This could be a great “tick-box” feature.
I read in the Kickstarter comments that the beta test will be released about a month before the full game gets released. Do you think having a beta test earlier in the development cycle would allow for fans to give more input on the entire game, instead of just bug reports?
Will the documentary be released in monthly installments (like with the Double Fine Adventure)?
Another Tex fan brought up the topic for mod tools for Fedora. Mod tools are usually only for FPS or RPG games, but Portal 2 has them, and there are already hundreds of mods for the game with custom art and stories. IF a cajillion dollars is raised, would this be something to consider to expand Fedora’s shelf life, and have a huge mod community of custom 3D adventure games with custom FMV, stories, and gameplay?
Will there be a Tex Murphy fan gathering for Kickstarter backers at GDC 2013 in San Fransisco that pledge $888 or more?
Will the old boxed Tex games have DVD discs with the GOG versions on them, or something completely new, that works even better than the GOG versions?
Will the new Radio Theater episodes be a separate self-contained Tex story, go along with the Fedora story, or take place before or after the Fedora story?
Thanks!

Yes - I plan on incorporating more movement - budget and time affects what I can do on green screen - but many noir movies are fairly static and let mood work for them. IF we can do a movie scene on location and still make it feel part of the game - like we did with Sonny's hotel room - since you could not explore his room in VR I suggested we build a small set - unfortunately I believe one of Sonny's scenes was cut out - it was brilliant too

In case I should've put it here instead, here's a thread asking about the pictures in Tex's office:

Question: Has Aaron given any thought to novelizations of the original "Trilogy" plots (Chance/Polarity/Trance)? Or will they be sufficiently covered in the new plotline that those stories are no longer relevant?
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing (and paying for) these novels; even if they are in an "Alternate Tex Universe."
PS: If Tesla's work is REALLY part of the new plotlines, that would be INTERESTING.

I think this was in relation to chance etc. though I could be wrong?evandy wrote:Question: Has Aaron given any thought to novelizations of the original "Trilogy" plots (Chance/Polarity/Trance)? Or will they be sufficiently covered in the new plotline that those stories are no longer relevant?
Full Chat here:Hammerhead asks: What is the status regarding the Tex Murphy novel Aaron said he was working on in our last chat (back in March)? Will there be an audiobook of it voiced by Chris Jones? And, will Chris be doing an audiobook of Under A Killing Moon (for those of us that love books but hate to read them)?
Chris & Aaron: I'll be starting a Kickstarter project for the novel if this one doesn't work.
Actually, it's coming along pretty well. I'm looking forward to having it done later this year for sure. And I hope Chris will do an audio version of it.
We'll see about the UKM audiobook...maybe one final tier award...?
