Not a lot of new info? I beg to differ. There are some things I've not heard before, and the things I did know feel so different coming from the horse's mouth. Not that Chris is a horse.
The interviewer is pretty good at this and I really appreciate the effort they made to edit other images and video over the interview. It's very well done.
And he made Chris laugh more than once. Awwww

Now that I think of it, I'm especially happy with how Chris talked about Tex's amateur film past (I guess Tex has existed since his high school days?
) and starting Access with Bruce Carver.
I had wanted to ask him about Bruce Carver during the chat but my question wasn't selected and I just couldn't bring him up. -_-
Really, this video confirms again what I talked about in my Textamonial video, and what I suspected all along-- there's a perceptible personal dedication to this character and you can see how much love went into the Tex series. It's what made Tex great and why this Kickstarter so richly deserves funding. It's corny, I know.

Skype could barely handle the stream as it was! Microsoft does own Skype after all...Jen wrote:But seriously folks, Chris....Aaron, can I interest you in a nice hi quality web cam? Truly, the prices have gone WAY down.
Chris is really such an awesome guy. I also love how open he is about the inner workings of the company. He's so knowledgeable about the industry. Great stuff. Thanks to who ever did the interview and arranged this. And especially thanks to Chris for being so enthusiastic about reaching out to the fans.
Its refreshing to see a developer so open about problems with a company/product, this is really important for aspiring developers to learn because unfortunately the bigger AAAs just lock themselves up and don't tell anyone if there's a problem (or worse, try to indoctrinate people to pretend like there isn't a problem).

So funny to hear the interviewer mention the fans saying "this is the Kingdom of te Crystal Skull" of computer games.
The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull movie was SO similar to Pandora Directive in so many ways that I was surprised that more was not made of this.
Except that Pandora Directive is the best example of its artform and Crystal Skull is a disaster.

Sooner or later, everyone needs a haircut.
I think they blew their budget on a new fax machine.Jen wrote:But seriously folks, Chris....Aaron, can I interest you in a nice hi quality web cam? Truly, the prices have gone WAY down.
Also, it appeared to be on a laptop, as the screen wobbled a bit at times. I know my laptop webcam is pretty sucky.
