Thanks for the welcoming messages I'm surprised that there are so many active members in this community. It has been a while since the last adventure of Tex Murphy.

I asked Aaron for permission, and also suggested that Big Finish Games should host a wiki like this, since there are a lot of advertisement on wikia. Anyway here is the reply:
"You have our permission! I like the idea of tying it to Big Finish, but we would have to talk to James LeMosy about that. For now, please proceed!"

I think I have to replay these games so I can remember all the cases. :p And with gog it should be easy. But will I see any future updates on the now "legal" wiki? It is so much more fun to build a wiki together than doing it alone :p

I'm sure now that we've gotten Aaron's blessing, we'd be more than happy to help you out.

And some of us still have our strategy guides for the games so we can cheat.

At this point, I just play to watch the video clips. I do not get much enjoyment out of the puzzles anymore since I've played so often before.

I play mostly to hear Tex's quips, not for the puzzles (which I honestly always found to be mostly a nuisance) or the main story arc. But I always end up getting drawn more fully in to PD despite myself!

lol. But I want to replay them! I think I learned my first English words from this series. "Sorry, can't help you."

Also how different are the paths on Pandora? Are they like different puzzles, and locations, or simply minor changes that lead to different ending?

There are a couple of Puzzles in the Gamer mode that aren't in the Entertainment mode...

But the Paths, no the only thing different are conversations, most are basically the same, but there are some different scenes and conversations that you won't get on Paths A and B...
If you are a True Tex fan, I don't recommend Path C... I mean of course you have to play it for the Experience, but if you are like many of us, you won't feel like yourself inside while playing it or for sometime afterwards...

How many of the Paths have you done in the past??? How many different endings have you gotten???

There's still a hole in my heart left by the pain caused by Path C. Every true Tex fan should see all paths once but you really need a strong stomach for it.

I'd say there are minor changes between A & B but C is a stark change. All paths lead you to the same locations but the journey feels very different.

Just a tiny update. There has been almost no activity on the wiki since I created it. However a few days ago: a used named "MoffRebus" started making improvements, and adding new pages. This sparked a little interest, and now I am contributing as well. So far we are only covering Mean Streets topics, but I would encourage all fans to contribute at least a little bit. Seeing that some article you started, are expanding by the community is actually rather fun!

All help is appreciated. Writing text, providing information, getting screenshots/images, designing templates/infoboxes and find some better theme/colors for the wiki.

BTW. Is it true that the timeline has been retconned? Years in MS and Overseer seems to be inconsistent!

Yes I started playing the TM series and since I am a wikiholic I am also obsessively feeding the wiki as I play. I am happy to say that my improvements made the wiki to grow significantly and eventually I am going to add also pictures and infoboxes.

I must say that I am a newbie in the TM universe. So far I have been adding only information already seen in MS and MM. I am aware that the later games elaborate on the wider TM universe, but also, being more mature incarnations, cause some retcons both in events and general style; and there is some controversy with the 'old games' vs 'new games' canon.

I also must second MrMamen's invitation: come on guys don't be afraid of wikis. First of all you are all welcome to browse character biographies, item histories and check the interrelations in Tex's world and review your past adventures from another, 'encyclopedic' perspective. I am sure that discovering Marshall Alexander's backstory was fun in the game, but how about reading his biography?

And then, if you spot a mistake or see that the biography of your favorite character is missing some important information, please feel free to click the "Edit" button and make your improvements. It would be a valuable contribution if some 'expert' (a strong fan who has spotted trivia, inconsistencies, interesting details etc in the games) helped with this.
