Hi

I'm new to the forum and I would like some help!
Is possible to play the pandora directive on windows 7 x64?If yes which is the best option?
I would like to use that GOG version, but is says that is compatible with vista version!

It works. I've run it on my 7 64 bit system.

whenever you see vista being mentioned you can run it on win 7. A lot of times it doesn't mention 32 or 64 bit systems so its a bit of trial & error.

however most things on gog will run on most systems

I would like to thank all of you for the answers and the warm welcome!
I'm not too familiar with windows, I don't use since the 90's!
Anyway I'm very happy Pandora will work it is one of the best games ever, and I 'll for sure buy all the other tex games!!

When i go to install Pandora Directive

A box opens up titled:-
Unsupported 16-bit Application.

And in the box it says:-
The program or feature "\??\e:\setup.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of windows.Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Winsdows compatible version is available.

Ive played it in win 98 on old computer and it worked ok through dos.
but not on my 64-bit win 7

Do i need to run it through something.

Eager for a reply cos i enjoyed the game but didnt finish it and id love to.

Welcome... Good to see another player...

It's not going to work on Windows 7, because Windows 7 does support DOS and doesn't have a DOS Emulator...

What you need to do is download Dosbox, it's free, but then you need to go through configuration steps...

It's much easier to spend the few bucks on GOG and just get it all wrapped up for you, just download and install and you're playing the game... I believe Pandora is 10 bucks, but they run sales from time to time... You can ALL the Tex Murphy games there...
