Interesting Trivia from AC
How about you pick up a stranded man and woman from a restaurant whose car has been stolen and then shoot them with a Tranquilizer Gun and then just keep them passed out for the next decade or so...dcat151 wrote:Well, I've got the get away car, but no crime in mind.
Has the feeling of having been done before, doesn't it???

So far I've avoided the wagon and the minivan (although, my wife has told me her next car will be a minivan). But, I did get something with four doors. I found a 2006 330i with a manual transmission (which is a must for me). I like it pretty well. It's not as sporty as the roadster, but with all that extra weight, I didn't expect it to me. I'll have to see how long I can hold out on getting something bigger. Hopefully if my wife gets a minivan I won't have to.
Another small trivia item. The only mistake I have noticed in the entire series (for things that aren't simply artistic imagination for the story) is that they improperly list the NSA as being the National Surveillance Agency in a single line comment. If memory serves, it is when you look at a document.
I don't know if it was done on purpose...the name was changed to protect the innocent, perhaps? But everyone knows NSA stands for No Such Agency!
(Seriously, it's the National Security Agency.)

My biggest annoyance with the series was how the Colonel had a knife in his chest said he blacked out because of his injury. However he was surprisingly coherent to deliver a long exposition to Tex about what he had been up to and give him instructions on what to do next to help Capricorn.
Then later on the Colonel is perfectly fine at the end in Louie's bar. I mean I can believe medical science is better in the future to save the Colonel's life but that long dialog from his office was hard to believe. I mean that knife wound looked pretty bad.

We don't know how Big that knife was or how deep the wound was... He could have very well blacked out due to simply just being over tired on top of the wound... A wound no matter how serious or how superficial will take energy from you... That on top of Blood Loss {no matter how much} could cause someone to blackout very easily... He does state that he hasn't been getting much sleep lately...
And if you are properly stitched up, you could very well sit at a counter and have a conversation without the person next to you having any idea that you have any type of wound... I can attest to that from personal experience... Granted though the Colonel did jump up at the very end a bit more recklessly than he should have, but that could very well be accounted to Pain Killers... I'm sure that in 2042 we are going to have some pretty awesome pain killers... Also we might have the technology where his wound was Sealed instead of being stitched up...
Without having the minute details explained, we could sit and speculate all week about this or that...

Well, since it's the weekend, I will debate this matter further. The Colonel was a tough old bird that could probably take as much as he dished out. Granted, I always thought he was stabbed in the heart or very close to it. Still, we've had relatives and friends who had had heart surgery using the latest methods and were out and about within a couple of days.
On the other hand, it's a game! Stuff happens! The creators can do whatever they like and make money doing it!
Lastly, it's just plain old fashion fun to speculate on these matters since that's all we have for the time being.
That being the case, I'll give you one for the books. In the PD, Tex jumps from the 2nd or 3rd story window just microseconds before the warehouse explodes. Not only does he show zero signs of scratches or cuts from the breaking glass, he somehow manages to land safely below. No limping, no broken bones or neck, and no other visible injuries. My only thought is this: Do NOT try this at home!
