Actually that is what 3 Cards is, a fund towards Tex... The last quote AC gave for a budget on a New Tex game was 12 Million dollars... So I don't think a fundraising thing would work very well for that... In today's economy alone you'd be lucky to raise 10% or even 5% of that budget, let alone people having to pay for it again later when it is released...

The boys will do this their way and they are showing that they have a plan in progress... So as we've done for the last 10 years, we'll have to Wait...
But actually seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, makes everything very exciting...

Yeah reminds me of when i was young, got on the internet for the 1st time, went to http://www.accesssoftware.com/ and to my amazment Overseer had just been opened for pre-orders, I hadn't heard a thing about it before, got my dad to pre-order that night. Man that was a long years wait lol
I was the same way with overseer, hadn't heard anything about its release or anything... I was just out and about, felt like a new game since I was at the mall, went in there and I was looking around and out of the corner of my eye I saw this Red Blinking... So naturally I picked up the box and as soon as I saw Tex's face, my choice was made... They also had a copy of UAKM for under 10 bucks, so I grabbed it as a backup at the time, now I have a few copies of each...

Didn't really know about Overseer either, despite playing the other games before. I saw the box during one of my weekly trips to the game store, the name Tex Murphy jumping right at me. Funny thing, the first person I noticed on the box was Michael York, and my initial thought was "Chris aged quite a bit" :P Of course, playing the game, I was rather surprised at how much he DIDN'T age, and how he actually looked younger than in Pandora in the flashback sequences.

This is the best news I've heard in a while: I need to check-in here more often.
I'm a long-time lurker and regular reader who tends to agree with what others write, so don't feel the need to contribute. But hey, I'll make an exception this time. Woohoo! Much excitement here. I shall be duly spreading the word come 6 May......

(It's a shame that on the Big Finish homepage it says 5 June, rather than 6 May ;-) )
I think it's written in us date format being Month/day/year
or has the game been put back

Yeah but look at the Winky face... I took it as a joke, even though I saw what he was referring to...

doesn't matter wether Ian was joking or not , the web page does confuse people.
In australia our date format is day/month/year. So people could be reading it wrong.

I've used both formats, but I agree... Maybe James could spell it out, May 6th 2009 or something...

Crikey, these lurkers pop up and do a light hearted post, and look at the trouble they cause!

In the UK we do dd/mm/yyyy, but I knew what James meant on the site so it was just a little joke - hence the smiley. So I suppose it was both serious and a joke!

Our Australian friends do it right too ;-) - mm/dd/yyyy is the US way, and I don't get it - it's not in the order from small to big!

But hey - this of all threads is one that should not be taken off topic, such is the excitement of what is being discussed!

(But James might want to consider writing 6th May on the homepage to avoid confusing the UK and elsewhere.)

That's because the US is stupid... First we didn't like Metric, so what did we do we came up with "Standard", but most of the stuff in this country is made overseas, so guess what, if we want to work on it we need to buy metric tools...
Then there's the whole Weather Degree thing, Celsius. wasn't good enough for us so what did we do, we came out with Fahrenheit... Then there's the electric junk where if you plug in an America device overseas you could possibly die and take whatever building you're in with you...

*sigh* Need I go on... lol
