Overseer DVD
Hi. I've gotten DOSbox 72 to run both Pandora and UAKM perfectly. Now, I really would like to play Overseer without room errors and cursor artifacts (that occur sometimes when I use the vidphone). I know it doesn't play in DOSbox, but I just want to be able to play the DVD without the roomcode errors. I've been playing Ripper in DOSbox for the first time now, too, and it doesn't seem to affect Windows games memory-wise at all. So I'm sure it's not a memory problem. Can someone PLEASE help me to get Overseer to perform the way it should? Thank you.
The problem with Overseer and Dosbox, is that Overseer was Designed for Windows, not Dos... Most people have issues with running Overseer... There are a couple of solutions throughout the Tex Support Forum... I haven't tried running Overseer since I left Win98, so I don't know how good any of the solutions are... I think it'd hit or miss for the most part... The DVD I understand has more problems that when you use the 5 CDs...

The DVD version has better video quality only, the CD version plays better.
DVD Express was not meant for newer systems and can cause issues with Vista.

A sansGUI interface is one that does not have the small features called "Windows". The term comes from the French word sans, meaning "without".
SansGUI's are more typically used in Unix-like Operating Systems. The conventional wisdom is that a GUI (Grapical User Interface) help guide the casual computer user to perform routine tasks with Point and Click simplicity. SansGUI's have acquired considerable acceptance for users accustomed to the CLI (Command Line Interface).
