Overseer problems using Vista | Unofficial Tex Murphy

I recently upgraded from XP Pro to Vista Business, and I tried running Overseer (using the exact same setup as I used with XP) The game installed just fine, and it will run up to the point where Tex is leaving Chelsee's place and going to Tex's office. But then I get booted back too the desktop with the following message: "Microsoft Windows - Overseer has stopped working". For some reason it will not let me into VR mode!

Any help and all suggestions will be appreciated!!!

I don't have Vista, but is there a compatibility mode in Vista?

Yes, there is a compatibility mode, and I have it set to Win 95.

Wish I could help, this problem also happened to me under XP sometimes.

The best way would be if someone can finally persuade some of the game developers to release the source code, so that some people rewrite the engine to be more compatible with modern operating systems.

Does anyone know the E-Mail adresses of some developers?

Well, I was able to get the CD version to work. So, until there is a solution to the DVD issue, I'm just going to have to play Overseer with what I have, and be thankful at that!
