Previously one needed to use DOSBOX to run older 'Tex Murphy' games on _Windows_Operating_Systems_. Now this challenge has been resolved for Tex Murphy games.

Is it possible to run older DOS games like "Talonsoft's West Front" through DOSBOX on _Windows 8.1_? If so, how? Does it take a lot of technical effort?

Yes. I know this is not a Tex Murphy issue, but it would be helpful if this could be sorted out.

Thank you in advance.

I'm not exactly a pro at any gamer issue, but I can tell you that I use DOSBox for the majority of my games that are older. But many of them ran under Windows 95 and 98.

I have seen posts on forums that say people have gotten games to work on Win8.1 by using DOSbox. From what I recall, they did have to do some customization of the DOSbox configuration, so it might be necessary to dig into it a bit more than you would like.
