The minimum RAM requirement is higher than it needs to be as well, but this is OS dependent. If you're on Windows XP, 2GB should be fine. Once again, it's not just the game engine that needs to perform well, it is also the video. The way the hardware buffer works for rendering the video, it depends...

I wonder why they overstated the minimum requirements on GOG and Steam. It sort of defeats the purpose of making a game that runs on older hardware when you tell people it won't work, huh? Maybe it's just for support reasons? Actually, the min-spec requirements are pretty accurate... Any older card...
