You know Rockefeller, it's funny that you mention it as I've said something to that effect before around these boards about a year and a half ago. See this thread: http://www.unofficialtexmurphy.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=80 Notice how I mention Vangelis in regards to the style of music used in a par...

If you can't find it in your area and you can't get it through eBay (most sellers don't ship outside North America) or other online shops, you will have to get it off the net. I'm not sure about the legal issues regarding Pandora, but since the game is 10 years old I suppose it's already considered ...

Hey Jim, do you still have the AUTOEXEC.NT error or have your resolved it already? If not try this:

Find the Autoexec.nt file located at C:\WINDOWS\System32\ and right click on it, then select Properties. Then put a check in the "Read-only" box, press Apply, and OK. It should work then.

Yeah, sure. I remember Master Of Dimensions. I know Hebrew fairly well and the funny thing is it's the only adventure game I've ever played in the Hebrew language (the game is from an Israeli developer). I played it like almost a decade ago and if I recall it was a fairly solid game. Though it has n...

Re: Dual booting--good idea

Of course, he could acquire "backup" copies of XP and ME (or 98 ) but I know you wouldn't be suggesting anything illegal. Well, I'm a firm believer in "don't ask, don't tell", so I'm certainly not one to judge if one were to "acquire" such copies for his own pers...

Is there any way to setup a dual boot system with an already partitioned HDD and existing WinXP? ie. without having to do a clean reinstall of XP. Yes, it's possible. I would not recommend it though as it can overwrite your essential WinXP files and you won't be able to boot into WinXP. The process...

Hey Malloy, why not set up a dual-boot system? My CPU is currently running with Windows ME and Windows XP on a dual-boot configuration and Windows ME runs UAKM, PD, and Overseer pretty flawlessly. Besides, it's a great way to enjoy old games. Just change the OS and you're ready to go, no need for DO...

re: Your favorite game genre?

Definitely Space Sims. This is a genre (or sub-genre to Simulator, if you like) that has generated one revolutionary game after another throughout the years. Starting with games like Elite which took the helm as far as game mechanics were at the time. Then came along Star Control (the 2nd of which i...

Re: re: The end of Electronics Botitique, The end of used P

I think I am going to live to see the end of PC games. I worred for years that it was coming and I guess the day is now fast approaching. When PC games disappear from EB and stores like them then you will know the PC game platform is officially dead. Its a sad day. Whoa! Let's not get ahead of ours...

re: Broken Sword 4 announced following SUCCESSFUL SALES of B

Yes, I was aware of the announcement of a new Broken Sword and was delighted to hear of it. Broken Sword 3 was a very good game, though far from perfect. They'll have to rework a lot of issues and maybe this time they'll put a bit more emphasis on creative puzzles and paths, rather than the overly s...
