Re: General steam question

Since TE is DRM-free you can move it anywhere you want. Steam won't know where to look for it, but you might be able to add a "non-Steam" game to get it back on your list. As for moving it and it still being recognized by Steam, I would check the properties menu. I'd look myself, but I'll have to wa...

Re: The Final Tex Murphy?

Aaron's update (which was included in the last Kickstarter update) said there would be two novels. The first is what happened between Pandora and Tesla Effect (the missing seven years) and is TE "Chance" story. The second is the sequel to Tesla and is the "Trance" story. The bulk of Tesla was the st...

Re: Tesla Effect book -- Aaron Conners

I figured TE was Polarity. The order of the stories was supposed to be Chance, Polarity, Trance. Given the plot involved a huge electric device (polarity relating to electricity and magnetism), Polarity would make sense. I think some elements of Trance may have made their way into the game, but the ...

Re: Tesla Effect book -- Aaron Conners

Awesome! I'll be buying these ones on Amazon. I still have the original paperbacks. I'm almost done the Tesla novel and it's quite good. There are a few things from the game I wish were handled a bit more like the novel (Smart Alex ;) ). Can't wait I read the two new novels, but I'll hold off on the...

Re: Any word on game sales??

Well, investors get to know because they are generally entitled to a return if their investment is performing well. We're not. I don't think it's a good analogy. That said, I think it would be good to get an idea of how well it is doing. I don't want or expect exact sales figures. Number of units or...

Re: Tesla Effect book -- Aaron Conners

I will echo the thanks too. I'm slowly working my way through the book. Very good so far.

Re: Edgar Cayce?

I think netroam is right. St Germaine mentions Edgar Cayce (I think). Either that or it was Archie. I definitely remember someone mentioning him before it showing up in the ask abouts. I've played on both the Chelsee and Ariel paths.

Re: Disappointed (?) Spoilers -

Thanks!

I haven't played through the Taylor path. The ending I referred to is the Ariel ending. I found it very unsatisfying. I hope some of the other endings are better. I have to take a break from playing it, though so it will probably be a while before I see them.

Re: Disappointed (?) Spoilers -

I like that idea Joel. It would have definitely given it a more immersive feel! I liked TE, but it could have been much better I think. I wrote a rather long review on Steam explaining what I think it got right and what I think it got wrong: http://steamcommunity.com//profiles/76561197972066454/reco...

Re: UPDATE ON NOVELS

Abbreviations are bad enough. But I have a major, psychotic freakin' HATRED for portmanteaus. That, and the way every minor scandal gets the "-gate" suffix. -Fred Ugh. -gates are annoying. I wonder how many children and teens these days think Watergate was a scandal about water... I find shorter ch...

Re: UPDATE ON NOVELS

How do you know it's in the Mission District? Have you analyzed it with your VAA and checked with your police contacts? :)

Re: Grim Fandango will be remastered....

Wow, how did the meeting for this go? Tim: Guess what?! Manny Calavera is back, we have the rights to Grim Fandango! This is exciting stuff. One of the last great adventure game figures of the 1990s that was produced for the PC only to be adored by PC gamers and PC Game critics alike. It was such a...

Re: Grim Fandango will be remastered....

Sony? Doesn't Disney own the rights to it now?

I want a version that works properly on modern PCs, not a PS4 version! I don't even need or want remastered graphics.
