They seem to be dancing around the Space Quest IP. Just make the ego a male astronaut and you get the idea.

They don't own the Space Quest IP? Thats a shame. :( So glad the Big Finish guys managed to get the Tex Murphy IP back.
I really liked the Space Quest games. Haven't had chance to check out the page in full yet but will have a look later.

@my voice just: Did you mean 400,000?

I'm not saying they don't, but I can't find any reference to Roger Wilco or Space Quest on the campaign.

they don`t. otherwise it would be called space quest and not spaceventure - by the creators of space quest
it`s much more possible to reach half million dollars goal on actual old-time famous franchise, than on names of its developers

 Sorry, I read "100,00 less high" with a pause after the amount, which changed the way it came across. My mistake!

it`s all over the place:
roger wilco = 3 times
space quest = 16 times

What I said to Sai "I'm not saying they don't, but I can't find any reference to Roger Wilco or Space Quest on the campaign." was meant to be humorous and was directed to the game they're trying to fund.

As to your question I don't operate on 100% certainty. With things like concussions and car accidents that can turn people into vegetables anything is possible.

"Space Quest" is also in gigantic 3D letters at the beginning of the video
Then they run through all the Space Quest games in the video etc. but then say "it wouldn't fit in one universe" so I think the suggestion is this new game will be in another universe/alternate dimension.

Someone on another forum stated Activision are sitting on the Roger Wilco etc. IP, shame :(

They're talking about creating a demo of the game every 100,000 they raise. So I guess we might have more info on the game as the Kickstarter progresses. I did really enjoy the SQ series though so interested to see what this is about.

Also it seems like people are unsure about the rewards so that might change later. Most Kickstarters do a "All previous rewards + this" thing and many are making comments on how the $100 tier doesn't include stuff in e.g. the first reward tier.

Seeing all these other Kickstarters makes me so nervous

Like I keep saying, even if the Kickstarter doesn't work out, I'd still want something to be done with Tex. Scrawled out in crayons, just anything.

same.. it only takes 1 to fail and then boom.. market crash. The more of them that do it.. the higher chance for failure.
