There still isn't much to go on.
Detective Clements made Linsky's death sound even more open-and-shut
than ever. When Tex tells Sylvia that he doesn't really think
he can help her, Sylvia plays on Tex's emotions, telling him
that she'll just go it alone. Tex, feeling sorry for her,
takes the case.
To get things started, ask
Sylvia about Carl Linsky, his personal effects, and his surgery.
Ask about any of the other topics on your list, but for some
information that'll prove to be interesting later, be sure
to ask her about Tex Murphy before you end the conversation.
|
 |
| When you do end the conversation,
Sylvia will leave to go to the police station, leaving Tex free to
look around Linsky's house. |
 |
Go over to the coffee
table. On top is a note and some dominoes. Pick up the note first
and examine it. Tex will guess as to what the phrase "Blackjack
in Dominoes" means, and what significance the numbers on the
back have. Whatever it means, it must have something to do with the
dominoes that are sitting right next to the note. |
 |
 |
Pick up the dominoes and
examine them. Following the directions on the back of the
note, place the dominoes in the correct order on the board,
so that you end up with a total of twenty-one in all directions:
horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. You should end up
with the dominoes in the order shown to the right.
When you've placed the dominoes
in the right order, Tex will comment on the flashing lights
by the 4, the 9, and the 8. Keep these numbers in mind.

Linsky's Kitchen
 |
Next, go to the kitchen
area and find the small green case on the counter next to the fridge.
Get the case and examine it for some insight into Carl's personal
habits. This also adds DeLeon Health Services to your Ask About list. |

|
 |
Open the refrigerator
and get the bananas that are inside. |
 |
 |
Now, cross the room to
the bedroom door, and enter the bedroom. The bedroom is not the room
with the ladder. |
Linsky's Bedroom
 |
On the desk
is a note. Pick it up and examine it. Looks as though Linsky had decided
to break up with someone named Delores. Let's see if we can't find
her, shall we? |
 |
In the desk's
middle drawer, on the right, is something on professional letterhead.
Get the letter and examine it. |
 |
Go to the other side
of the room and open the top dresser drawer. Look at the package of
underwear inside. Tex said earlier that he only had one pair left,
and now he wrestles with a tough decision... |
 |
 |
On the right
side nightstand next to Linsky's bed sits a chess set. Take a look
at it, and Tex will note that one of the pieces is missing. |
 |
On the left
side of the bed is another nightstand. Open the drawer and get the
green book inside. Examine it, and Tex will find the address to a
Delores Lightbody. Linsky's "Dear Jane" letter was written
to a Delores. Coincidence? Nope. |

Open up the
Travel menu, and click on Delores Lightbody, then hit Go. |
