Sylvia's case doesn't sound very
promising, but Tex decides to help her out anyway. Now he's got
to get to work. Sylvia said the officer in charge of the investigation
is named Eve Clements. Move your mouse cursor to the far left side
of your screen, and the Travel window will pop out. Click on the
picture of Eve Clements, the click the Go button, and Tex will pay
a visit to the San Francisco Police Department.

Didja'
Notice?: When Tex arrives
at the police station, Detective Clements is reprimanding a
very sorry looking, shirtless, large-nosed cop. Look closely...if
you've played Martian Memorandum, Under a Killing Moon,
or The Pandora Directive, you'll recognize this as
Mac Malden! |
| If looks could kill, the look
Eve Clements gives Tex when he walks in would've splattered
him against the wall...which would be just fine with her. Unfortunately
for Tex, Eve Clements and The Colonel are good friends, and
she knows all about Tex's betrayal. To say she's reluctant to
help Tex would be a dramatic overstatement. She's disgusted
simply having him in her office, and she has no problem with
letting him know it...repeatedly. |

Once you've convinced Detective Clements
to talk, ask her about Carl Linsky, Linsky's autopsy, and Linsky's
personal effects. To get a feel for how Sylvia took her father's
death, ask Eve about her, too. When you're done talking to Detective
Clements, travel to Carl Linsky's house.
